Kawasaki Introduces 2009 KX Motocrossers

Kawasaki Introduces 2009 KX Motocrossers

Kawasaki is forging ahead with dramatic changes to its KX450F and KX250F for the 2009 model year
The 450F gets Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) operating without the weight of a battery. The 43mm throttle body springs to life with the electricity generated through the kick Starter. Kawasaki claims single-kick starting, because the ECU is powered at the initial movement of the kickstarter.

The engine is essentially all-new in the 450F. It is smaller and lighter, with revised intake and exhaust ports. The compression ratio has gone from 12.0 to 12.5:1, and exhaust exits through a new titanium pipe.

The frame is also new, 1.8 pounds lighter, slimmer and with a new rigidity balance intended to improve handling. A new swingarm has a new pivot point 3mm higher this year. Suspension changes include friction-reducing coatings on fork tubes and the inside surface of the shock reservoir. Fork offset is reduced 1mm to improve front wheel traction. The 2009 KX450F is pictured above, and here are its specifications

The Ferrari of bikes, Bologna (Italy)-based Ducati is expected to launch five superbikes -- motorcycles with engines of more than 800 cc -- in India on May 7.
The bikes will be imported as completely built units on which there is a 60 per cent import duty. Each bike will cost Between Rs 10 - TO - 50 lakh.
Ducati's Global Chief Executive Gabriel Deltorchio will be flying to India on the day of the formal launch in Delhi.

Ducati already has a 50:50 joint venture with Kinetic Motors to manufacture auto components. It currently has a sole distributor in India based in Mumbai.
India's 7.2-million-strong bike market, which is also the world's second-largest two-wheeler market, has prompted leading bike-makers around the world to renew their focus on the Indian market.
These include the legendary Harley Davidson of the US, Triumph of the UK and Japanese majors like Honda and Kawasaki. Kawasaki sells its superbikes through Bajaj Auto , its motorcycle partner in India.
Though size and growth figures are not available for this nascent market, companies like Suzuki, which is launching the Hayabusa 1300 cc bike, and Honda, which is launching the CBR 1000 RR, are anticipating huge demand.
This despite the fact that German bike-maker BMW called off an arrangement, signed several years ago, with the Munjals to sell power bikes owing to negligible sales.
The Harley, meanwhile, is facing a roadblock in introducing its range of bikes here as the Indian government has refused to cut duties on the bike. The same government has, however, relaxed its emission norms on the bike and also allowed the company to set up a dealer network in the country.
Last year, media reports suggested that current leader in the performance bike segment, Bajaj Auto, was looking to buy out Ducati Motor Holding in an effort to build its own brand in the lucrative European market.
The Pune-based company, however, later bought a near-controlling stake in Austrian bike company KTM.

Cheap Chinese fakes Continue to haunt India's largest bike exporter Bajaj Auto .These Fakes are riding the Brand quality of Bajaj models in foreign markets like Latin America and middle East, by illegally sporting designs and shapes of its bikes. These companies have product names sounding like Pulsar (ex. GULSAR) or design similar to Pulsar . The petrol tank may be just like the Pulsar but it lacks Quality Parameters. Instead of Patented DTS-i Technology , it is a single spark engine.

Copying of designs of Popular Models is not a new Phenomenon and has been Happening in both Two wheelers and Cars, especially led by Chinese companies. Honda and Suzuki have faced similar problems various markets..

N how about you think for Gunk,Garizma,Gunderbird ,Gachiver,Gpache......Strange. !!
