A NEW REVOLUTIONARY MINI

The Countryman at Mini tastes to more clearly at the NAIAS in Detroit show

THE MINI PACEMAN ( Not to be confused with the legendary computer game PACMAN )

is a 3-door Sports Activity Coupé, according to the English brand.

POWER: - The car is the first of its kind in the compact segment. The concept car benefits from Minis All4-wheel drive, which we already know the MINI COUNTRYMAN.

During normal driving goes up 50 percent of torque to the rear wheels. But if he needs is all the system can send power to the rear wheels.

DISPLACEMENT: - the concept car has drawn the strongest mini-motor under the hood of the moment. The 1.6-liter turbo is known from the Mini John Cooper Works and delivers

211 hp and 260 Nm. with the overboost function temporarily increases the torque to

280 Nm. MINI Performance figures indicate not.

FRAME: - PACEMAN the Concept is 4.11 meters long, 1.79 meters wide and 1.54 meters high. By comparison, the 3-door Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is 4.35 meters long and is indeed in another segment. According Paceman Mini Concept combines the core values of the brand (kart-like handling and unique design) with a new body style and the latest techniques. The car is actually a mix of the Mini Countryman and a coupe.

DESIGN: - The headlights of the car have chrome surround. The grille is almost identical to that of the Mini Cooper S Countryman. The 19-inch wheels are unique to the concept car.

The wheel arches and side skirts have an 'adventure' dark color. Inside reverses the typical Mini design language back. The central speedometer and air vents and the gearshift knob cover in all have a contrasting color.

A slim center console increases legroom. Centre for Rail plays Paceman concept borrows from the Countryman.

Mini shows Paceman Concept at NAIAS in Detroit. The brand is not untouched on specific production plans, but the reactions to the American show could prove to be crucial to the Sports Activity Coupe. And perhaps also with Mini looks askance at the claims of the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.

COMMENCE OF DARK ERA....LAMBORGHINI - THE AVENTADOR

JUST CAUGHT LAMBORGHINI TESTING THEIR NEW PROJECT
-THE AVENTADOR-, successor to the MURCIELAGO.

LAMBORGHIN managed to hold some of its information back during development, but as it nears production and unveiling, the dam has broken wide open: the ordering guide, with full specs, is loose on the Internet.

POWERTRAIN -?  As we all expected,
A 6.5-liter V-12 rated at 700 metric horsepower, or about 690 of our American horses.

WEIGHT -? The AVENTADOR tips the scales at 3,472 pounds,
With 43 percent of that over the front axle, and 57 percent over the rear.
It will be a big, low car, at 106 inches wheelbase,
188 inches long, almost 80 inches wide and just 44 inches tall.

FUEL EFFICIENCY -? Fuel efficient it is not,
drinking down its 23.77 gallon tank at a rate of 13.5 mpg combined.
But fuel efficiency isn't the only kind of efficiency: the Aventador will slice through the air with ease, hitting 62 mph in a crushing 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 217 mph.

ACCELERATION - ?
That massive acceleration is thanks in part to its Haldex electronically-controlled all-wheel-drive system and the new seven-speed ISR robotized gearbox.
Sticky 255/35 tire on 19-inch wheels up front and 335/30 20-inchers out back hold the corners.

BREAKING -?
Braking is handled by massive 15.7-inch and 14.9-inch front/rear carbon ceramic rotors clamped by six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.
That is really all the core information, but whenever we got more news we will update you.

RINSPEED : MEHARI A BAMBOO SWISS ELECTRICAL

As usual, Frank Riderknecht, the man behind Rinspeed, we offer an early first vision of the concept which will decorate its booth at the Geneva Motor Show.

This year, the machine takes the form of a range electric car design evoking the Mehari but conforming to the sweet name of Bamboo. You'll understand in Bamboo, Bamboo ago.
Rinspeed delusions became responsible over the years and have spent several years in Geneva, it exhibits quite innovative electric cars. Bamboo is the same caliber and probably anticipates a warming of the planet mass and therefore an era where the ride in the dunes behind the wheel of a car tracks such Bamboo will be possible on the shores of Lake Geneva. Nomen est omen, the name is an omen, "said the statement.
The interior of bamboo (it's a 4 seater) therefore consists partly of elements made of bamboo fibers. The design is meant to recall the seventies,
St Tropez, Brigitte Bardot and Gunther Sachs ... discreetly remind you that the Mehari associated with St Tropez is surely the most sergeants and Warrant Officer Ludovic Cruchot Gerber that BB and his conquests love.

Bamboo will be electric, simple, practical, functional, essential and de-stressing.

THE NEW EVORA'S EVOLUTION

HERE COMES THE BRAND NEW LOTUS ELAN FOR DIE HARD LOTUS FANS

Like all future Lotus products, the Elan will be available in base or R-spec forms.

The base Elan uses the same 3.5-liter Toyota V-6 as the current Evora, but sees a 119 hp increase to 395 hp.

Opting for the R version means an incredible 444 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque will be sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

For the R, a top speed of 192 mph is projected along with a 3.5 second 0-62 mph sprint, but even a base Elan should still run from 0-60 mph in under four seconds.

Perhaps the most important figure is the 192 pounds shaved from the car, resulting in an impressively low 2855-pound curb weight.

If that weight loss isn't very impressive, consider the fact that the car also grows 4.3 inches longer, a full two inches wider, and 2.3 inches taller at the same time.

Lotus wants the Elan to be even easier to live with on a daily basis than the Evora, so the A-pillars move forward, and the door sills are lowered to make ingress and egress much easier for the driver and passenger.

We expect the 2+2 to appeal to a much larger audience than the current Evora for this reason alone.

Elan offer an excellent combination of utility (thanks to the optional 2+2 configuration), performance, and technology that broadens the brand's appeal without being too big or too heavy for current Lotus fans' taste.
